Release notes of May 25th, 2021

This month we received a lot of feedback from you on the surveys we sent out, thank you for that! Our to-do list for the coming period has been filled, to make working with customer feedback as fun and easy as possible, for you and your colleagues. In the past period (from April 4 to May 25) a lot of new functionalities, fixes, and improvements have been implemented. You can read all about it in these release notes.

Stay informed with the new 'Latest news' feature

You never miss any feedback – of course -, due to the feedback notifications you receive in your email and the list of latest feedback in Focus Feedback. Now you will also never miss important news and cool new feedback matters with the latest news!

You will find this new icon in Focus Feedback

When you click on it, you will see a pop-up with the most recent news articles that we have published, especially for you. Here you can read about all new developments, news articles, and other interesting material.

New filters for the notification emails and the response page

The new notification emails and responses page are ideal for easily keeping track of new feedback. We have expanded the filters of these modules at your request.

Below is a list of filters that have been expanded for your industry:

  • Home Appliance Industry: Language, Project, Contact Center, Engineer, Service Partner, Pre Prepper, Dispatcher, Counselor, Tags, Callback Question
  • Construction: Regions, Language, Tags, Project Category
  • Sports: Regions, Language, Tags

You can set these new filters for the responses page in Focus Feedback or for the email notification of new feedback.

Password rules for optimal security

We want to make sure that our platform’s security is the best we can provide, without making it too difficult for you. Application administrators can set the required password rules in Focus Feedback themselves. When creating or changing your password, the requirements (chosen by your administrator) are now shown with the green checkmarks as shown in the picture.

We believe safety is very important and we have prepared a list of requirements that we recommend. Whether a password meets our recommendations, you can see from the blue ‘Decent Password’ bar in the image.

Our recommendations for a strong password are:

  • 15 or more characters in total
  • At least one lowercase letter
  • At least one uppercase letter
  • At least one number
  • At least one special character

Finally, we also advise not to use obvious patterns. Think for example of: “Abc123!”. This is not checked by our system, but it is an important tip!

Unsubscribe option in the surveys (instead of in the SMS invitations)

Some of you use the SMS functionality of Focus Feedback. This way, your consumers receive an invitation with a survey link by text message instead of email.

Due to the number of characters that can be used in one text message, it is not possible to add an unsubscribe option (opt-out option) to that same message. However, it is mandatory to allow recipients of feedback surveys to opt-out of the survey.

To reliably fix this, all Focus Feedback survey pages now have an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the survey page. This allows respondents, who receive an invitation by text message, to unsubscribe if desired.

Netigate API (customized for BSH)

After a change made by the Netigate team in their API (communication interface), we are now able to process multiple-choice questions!

In the previous scenario, we could only import multiple-choice questions based on identical answers. Which meant the text in Netigate needed to be identical to the text set in Focus Feedback. This created a lot of issues concerning the usages of dynamic values in the text.

With the new change of the Netigate team, we are now able to match answers based on an ID. This enables the connection between Focus Feedback and Netigate to safely import answers for multiple-choice questions without the concern of identical text. This should result in a smoother and more reliable connection between the two platforms.

Improvements

  • In the previous release notes, you read about the new user profile in Focus Feedback. An exclamation mark appeared when you did not fill in all possible fields. However, we do not want to obligate you to actually fill in everything or make you feel that this is mandatory. Therefore, the exclamation mark now only appears once, until you open the user settings page. After opening the page, the exclamation mark will disappear, regardless of whether all fields are filled in or not.
  • You could also set a profile picture from the previous release. Did you set a profile picture? Then you could only change it to another photo. You couldn’t just delete the picture. You can now.
  • All Focus Feedback users work with the second version of the classification module. The first version of the ranking module in Focus Feedback Admin has not been used by anyone since 2017. We have removed the old classification module.
  • The ‘save’ buttons on the tabs of the profile page are now only clickable if a change has been made.
  • Region is now available as a dynamic tag value on the email template tab in Focus Feedback Admin.
  • Verbatim that contains line breakers to show text on the following line is now no longer visible as a large piece of text in a row. The line breakers are actually shown in the feedback.
  • Overall, we have updated a lot of text and icons in Focus Feedback to improve the user experience.
  • If you choose the card view in the bucket, this choice will now be saved. Are you navigating to another page and back again? Then the set display remains the same.
  • There is no longer a limit for classification labels per touchpoint.

The following improvements are customized for BSH:

  • We’ve added ‘Employee’ (counselor) as a value to the response details within the Responses page of Focus Feedback.
  • The SPICE import structure sends data in the techgroup column, which exceeds the maximum allowed characters of the database field. The maximum allowed character limit is increased to correctly save this data.
  • Focus Feedback accepts different import structures based on column count (16, 34, and 41) a new structure with 42 columns has been added, which enables BSH countries to include Hybris_id within the import.
  • With the addition of global classification labels, the order in which the labels were shown was different through part of Focus Feedback. In all places (classification modules and graphs) the order is not set to first show all global labels in order and afterward show local labels in order.

Fixes

  • When you manually sent a survey that was blocked by an error code, the mailing list showed a problem. In this particular scenario, the record was not correctly configured by the mailing list tab and the search was disabled.
  • If you copied a dashboard and removed all tags in the pop-up screen, the dashboard still had the original tags, we have solved this.
  • If the NPS segment chart does not contain data, it now shows a notification instead of an infinite loader.
  • If you made a dashboard yourself, a notification was also posted under ‘shared dashboards’. That is no longer the case.
You can now create charts with both global and local labels.
  • We fixed an issue opening Focus Feedback from a direct link, from a notification email. If the user account was linked to multiple companies, the authorization was not saved properly.
  • If you came into Focus Feedback with an activation key, there was a problem with setting the user profile fields.
  • The benchmark chart has been optimized by only allowing date filters.
  • iPhone has a functionality that automatically zooms when an input field is selected. This zoom is disabled to avoid annoying interface problems.
  • We’ve fixed the issues around the drop-down menu on the Focus Feedback home screen. In this way we enable a smoother and easier selection of dashboards.
  • If you refreshed your browser on the Choose Company page, you saw a blank screen. This action will return you to the login screen from now on.
  • If you opened the CLF detail section after opening the Responses page, you were presented with a strange button layout, this problem is solved.
  • The ‘assign’ button was always visible on the response page to everyone, even if the user did not have the authorization to assign feedback.
  • The ‘Create Dashboard’ button, in the ‘Manage Dashboard’ section, was always visible, even if users did not have the authorization to create a dashboard. That is no longer the case.
  • The edit icon for the classification labels was always visible in the CLF detail screen, even if the user did not have the authorization to access the classification module. That has been resolved.
  • If you logged in via a direct link to which an organization was linked, the correct authorizations were not remembered. That has also been resolved.
