Release notes of August 28th 2023
Are you the person in your organization who adds users and assigns permissions? Then the new User Management feature in Focus Feedback is important and useful for you. Exciting features have been added; such as being able to see when someone has last logged in, and you can set up notifications for others. Keep reading for more information!
User Management feature in Focus Feedback
The User Management feature, which allows you to create, edit, and delete users, has been completely renewed in Focus Feedback.
The User Management feature allows you to:
- Import multiple users from a .csv file or a manually created table. This means you no longer have to create users one by one.
- Modify or update user settings in bulk.
- You can now edit feedback notifications for other users as well, all from one single location.
- You can now also see when users last logged in to Focus Feedback (note: this does not apply to Focus Feedback Admin).
The user module is accessible via ‘Management’ within Focus Feedback’s left-hand menu.

This feature must be activated for your account. For activation, you can submit an internal IT ticket under the product NPS.

Finally, there are also new ways to distribute permissions. This includes the ability to split permissions for modifying surveys and the permissions for sending them. Additionally, you can now hide the personal data of customers and employees in Focus Feedback. If you want that data to not be visible to all users.
Integration of OpenAI for feedback classification within Focus Feedback
A significant amount of data from Focus Feedback surveys comprises open-text responses. We use the classification module to quantify this data by adding labels and sentiment to the topics customers are discussing in their responses. This allows you to analyze the data accurately and understand the most prevalent subjects among consumers. The task of reading all the responses and classifying this data by adding appropriate labels and sentiments is an intensive job. To automate this process, Focus Feedback has built a module using OpenAI.
When a customer completes a survey, their response is directly sent to OpenAI. AI classifies the answer and adds the appropriate sentiments and labels. This can save companies a tremendous amount of time spent on manual labor. The only remaining task is to review the results in the existing modules by running a classification chart, accessing the NPS Verbatim Analysis dashboard, or exporting the data for further analysis.
We are now running a few test cases, and soon this will be available for everyone. To be continued..!
Improvements
- The project widget has been worked on, and the sorting function has now been improved.
- The call-to-action button, which indicates how many dashboards are shared with a user, was limited to displaying only one number. This has been updated to correctly display larger numbers when necessary.
- The ‘load more’ button in Verbatim Analysis has been enhanced.
- The ‘load more’ button in the export function now remembers your position in the list.
- The Project widget will always use the full screen whenever possible.
- The Potential & Like widget has been optimized. Calculations for the total numbers have been recalculated, and it now displays multiple counts as a distinction is made between Potential, Like, and Total. The mobile display has also been optimized, and the design adapts better to various sizes, even in combination with other widgets.
The above is just a small selection of the improvements we have implemented. Many more improvements have taken place as well.
Fixes
- When adding a widget to a dashboard and adding extra filters, the button to add a filter was still visible if all additional filters were added. Now, Focus Feedback hides the button when no additional filters can be selected.
- The Project widget displayed incorrect colors for data labels; it appeared gray and has been reset to the appropriate color for data labels, which is white.
- When sharing multiple dashboards, the list of users added to that dashboard was not displayed correctly. This has been resolved.
- In the Responses module, the correct number of responses is now displayed when loading more comments.
- When attempting to set a previously used password while changing a user password, the error message shown by the application was incorrect. This has been updated.
- Within the Export module of Focus Feedback, the total count is now correctly updated when the users view the list.
- Users who encountered an issue, where the Save button became inactive while trying to change their password, are now able to use the button correctly, as the application now activates it properly.
- There were some problems with scrollbars in Focus Feedback when using Safari as a browser. This had now been resolved.
