Release notes of December 1st, 2021
In October and November, we worked hard on new functionalities and improvements. You can read all about it in this release notes.
Export module expanded with export to PDF
The handy export module has been expanded. Data can now also be exported to a PDF file. With the previous release, it was already possible to export to Excel (as a .csv file). Now you can select ‘Export as PDF’ after filtering data in the export module. Note: a maximum of 100 responses can be exported to PDF format.
Would you like more information about this new function? Read the manual or watch the tutorial video!
Export module expanded with list view
The extension of the export module brings more changes. You can now view the preview in ‘List’, which is a view in the same layout as PDF. The existing ‘Table’ view shows what the data looks like in Excel (as a .csv file).
Export module expanded with wordlist filter
The latest new feature of the export module in these release notes is the new wordlist filter. This allows you to easily search for specific words or phrases within all received answers. You filter the feedback you want to export based on answers given to the question about strengths and improvements. Filtering can be done by clicking the ‘Wordlist’ button in the export module and selecting one of the created word lists:
You can set up new word lists by clicking on the icon for ‘Wordlist’. You will see a pop-up screen where you can add, edit and delete word lists:
API for partners
We have developed two new API’s. This new, handy technical functionality makes linking with Focus Feedback from other digital environments easier. It is now possible to display data from Focus Feedback in other applications or websites. The two API’s are:
- Responses API
For sharing a selected amount of feedback from Focus Feedback. - NPS API
To share a summary of data that includes the NPS score, number of responses, percentage of promoters, detractors, and passives, and percentage of feedback items containing written responses.
Both APIs can be used and filtered based on project, club, survey, and brand. With the implementation, you can extract this data from Focus Feedback to present it in other dashboards or applications.
Are you interested in setting up an API connection and presenting the data differently? Please contact your contact person within Focus Feedback or your IT department.
Custom chart templates (customized for BSH)
When creating a dashboard within Focus Feedback, you can choose between a selection of charts to create. Within this selection, there already was an option to create a chart based on additional survey questions. With the new release, it is now also possible to create charts based on additional metadata fields. Metadata is data that the Focus Feedback system receives with a record. When creating a new widget in a dashboard, a new template ‘Custom’ is visible. After clicking the custom template button, you can choose the metadata field to create a chart. The options are:
- Engineer
- Contact Center Agent
- Dispatcher
- Preprepper
- Service Partner
- Counselor
- Dealer
- Product Area
- Product Division
Make sure that the touchpoint you want to create a custom templated chart for, sends the needed metadata to Focus Feedback before sending out the surveys.
Line charts are improved
Line charts are common in Focus Feedback, and we’ve taken a closer look at them during this release. Our line charts now contain span gaps, nice word isn’t it? But what does it mean? Well before, the value of graph points was 0, even if no data was available. As a result, a graph had many dips that actually did not reflect reality. To avoid confusion, from now on, the moments when there is no data will no longer contain a graph point. As a result, it may be that the graph starts in the middle or that a period is bridged with the graph line. Check the image below to see what we mean.
BSH survey category table (customized for BSH)
The BSH survey categories are grouping categories for surveys, set in a Global environment. A new screen has been added to Focus Feedback Admin which allows users (when they have the authorization) to see how the BSH survey categories are set for their local surveys. However, changing a category still can only be done through the global environment.
CDC opt-out logic (Customized for BSH)
BSH and Focus Feedback have been working together on a project to manage the opt-out logic through CDC. CDC will manage all opt-outs from all the different systems that BSH uses to communicate with its customers. Within this release, the logic from Focus Feedback is implemented where opting-out from customers can be shared with the CDC database. It also includes a new API that allows CDC to push opted-out customers back into the Focus Feedback database. With this new method, the opt-out logic can be set that customers won’t receive communication from all platforms of BSH (including Focus Feedback) when a customer opts out. For more information about setting up CDC opt-out logic for your surveys please contact the BSH IT department with product NPS.
Improvements
- Previously, line charts showed a value of 0 when there were no responses. That is no longer the case. Line charts now use ‘Span-Gaps’ to show that there are no reactions. This way you know whether the NPS is actually 0, or whether there are no reactions in this period.
- The header bar for the export module has been updated. Because more items should be shown in the header bar within the Export module, the search bar is now hidden behind an icon. When you click on the search icon, the search bar will open below the header bar. This allows the application to create space for the required new items.
- When you previously made a chart, filters were regularly shown that do not affect the data in the chart. For example, when you create an NPS segment chart, the ‘period’ does not affect the data. Focus Feedback now doesn’t show filters that have no effect, making it easier to create and maintain your charts.
- The selected filters on the response page were not visible when many filters were set. The application now displays the filters correctly to give the user more information about how the page is filtered.
- Dragging and dropping CLF tickets between different stages within the callback board was difficult on touch devices due to the need to be able to drag cards from the screen. When activating the drag-and-drop mode in the callback board on touch devices, Focus Feedback now gives the user the ability to drag and drop CLF tickets between stages in a single view.
- Improved the logic of saved views within the CLF bucket module to be identical to the saved view for the export module.
- The CLF bucket header bar now uses the same style as the export header bar when switching between table view or map view for the bucket.
- Within the BSH category filter, the parent category is now shown in brackets, for example: “CL_phoneservice (Careline)”. This allows users to search for a parent category in anything associated with that parent category (BSH) with one click.
Fixes
- The email notification settings sometimes took several minutes to load. This was because one filter took a long time to compile the data. The ‘Projects BSH filter’ has been removed from the notification settings, resulting in instant loading times.
- Horizontal scrolling on touch devices in the export module is now possible.
- Parent companies showed buttons on the home screen of modules that were not accessible. These cards are now hidden from parent companies.
- The sort function within the Focus Feedback ranking chart did not properly sort the data within the sub-labels. This has been resolved.
- When assigning CLF tickets to a user on a touch device, there was an issue where the drop-down list was closed on touch. Users can now scroll through the drop-down list and correctly select the desired user.
- A bug caused the application language to switch to local translations. The language is now overruled and will always be set to English.
- We’ve made login to Focus Feedback Admin faster.
- The ‘NPS trend’ and ‘Sent messages’ chart in Focus Feedback admin had an issue where the refresh button did not refresh the data. This has been resolved.
- Fixed an issue where additional questions or ranking columns in the export module returned blank values when switching views. Focus Feedback now saves the changes when a new view is selected.
- When copying a survey, the BSH categories were also copied into the database. When copying a survey, the BSH categories are now set to empty and must be set correctly via BSHGlobal. (BSH)
