Release notes of October 4th, 2021

What’s new in Focus Feedback? Check it out here in the release notes!

Export data very easily

Yes! A much-requested and long-wished-for feature is live in Focus Feedback! You can now download data very easily on your own computer. Useful for annual reports and if you want to share feedback with colleagues who do not have a login for Focus Feedback.

This function was previously used in the orange Focus Feedback Admin environment but is now also available in the blue Focus Feedback environment. The new export module allows you to export data from Focus Feedback to Excel (.csv or .xlsx file types). You can select and filter data, take a look at the preview and download it to your computer.

Beneath you’ll see what the module looks like. You can choose between ‘export feedback’ and ‘export classification’ in the tabs at the top.

Both export functions work the same. The only difference is that the function from the left tab allows you to export all feedback. In case you choose to make use of the right tab, the rating of the feedback takes precedence.

The ‘export feedback’ function creates an Excel file containing one row per answer. The ‘export classification’ function creates one row per set classification sentiment. So you can export classified data in a format to easily further analyze and quantify your data.

Would you like more information about this new function? Read the manual or watch the tutorial video!

Classifying feedback from different processes

Previously, within Focus Feedback’s classification module, it was possible to select only one survey to classify the data. That is history! With this new update, it is possible to multi-select data from different surveys within the classification module.

Keep in mind that different surveys may have different labels, which can lead to a change in the label structure when classifying data.

Update notification

The browser was not automatically updated with the new features from the release in the past. That’s too bad don’t you think? So, from now on, if a new version is available for you, you will see the message below. Click on ‘update’ and you will be completely up to date with the new functions and possibilities in Focus Feedback.

This will take place for the first time after this release. For this release, it will be done in the old way one more time. You can expect the notification for the first time in mid-October.

Added BSH categories as a filter (customized for BSH)

The BSH categories are groupings of touchpoints set by the BSH IT department to enable BSH to easily group touchpoints on a global view. This grouping has been added as a filter within Focus Feedback and allows users to filter their data based on this grouping. The filter has been added to:

  • Dashboarding section of Focus Feedback
  • CLF module
  • Classification module
  • Responses module
  • Export module
  • Dashboards: NPS performance analysis, NPS verbatim analysis, Callback Selector

GBS classification labels and Type as a filter (customized for BSH)

GBS labels are labels added to Focus Feedback through an external system as training data for the AI solution. Focus Feedback has added logic to the Focus Feedback application which allows the application to correctly save and work with all labels types: GBS, AI, and manual. Priority rules have been added to make sure the correct label types are saved and overwritten.

The type of a classification label (GBS, AI, Manual) has also been added as an additional filter within:

  • When creating Classification Charts within Focus Feedback
  •  When filtering the NPS Verbatim Analysis dashboard
  • As a field within the new classification oriented export module

Improvements

  • In the previous update, a new date filter was added to the dashboard section of Focus Feedback that allows users to work with dates more dynamically. In this update, the new and improved date filter is integrated into all other Focus Feedback modules and components.
  • In Focus Feedback Admin, adding tags in (system) emails has been improved. Click on the tag, then it will automatically copy into the email with the correct formatting.
  • You can now move widgets within dashboards and instantly change the width of the widgets and charts as well. This way you can set the desired order and size of the dashboard from one place in no time.
  • Feedback items in the Closed Loop Feedback module are available for up to 12 months, after which it is no longer available at that location. This is based on the idea that feedback is no longer followed up after a year. Previously, the buttons with the feedback remained clickable in the other modules to follow up or assign the feedback, this is no longer the case.
  • The Closed Loop Feedback – Bucket module has been extended with the possibility to sort by date. You can filter by: ‘visit date’, ‘sent date’, ‘response date’, ‘modification date’ (when the last change was made to the feedback item), and ‘closing date’ (date on which the feedback item was completed).
  • The CLF bucket now remembers the page you are on when you switch to another page in Focus Feedback. This way you can easily return to the same page within the bucket.
  • The Project/Clubs widget showed a 0-value if no feedback was available. To avoid confusion with an NPS value of zero, the widget now only shows this when the NPS is 0.
  • When editing a dashboard, a new icon has been added to the right sidebar menu that allows users to directly share the dashboard with different users. So you no longer have to go back to the Manage Dashboard section.
  • The notification that warns users that no data was found in Focus Feedback has been changed to a more recognizable and fun text.
  • Additional mouse-over tooltips have been added on icons, buttons, and breadcrumbs to inform the user about the functionalities.
  • The status button in CLF details is disabled if the status is not set to ‘To-Do’, ‘Progress’ or ‘Done’.

Fixes

  • Adding a user without a user group was allowed but yielded to nothing. Now, when users add a user without a group, a pop-up with an error message warns the user to add a group.
  • Scrolling to the bottom of the page within ‘Latest Feedback’ will load the following twenty responses. When users are zoomed-in within their browser, this function does not work, so an extra button has been added. When you click the button, the next twenty responses will be displayed.
  • Filters opened by the sidebar menu for mobile devices now include the ‘save’ button, previously moved off-screen due to a height issue.
  • Charts created without data now show the correct ‘no data found’-message instead of infinite loading screens for that widget.
  • Opening the menu did not work with the browser Safari, we have solved this.
  • All buttons are now the same size and colors.
  • The page numbers are hidden if there are fewer items displayed in the bucket than will fit on one page.
  • Due to the new icons in the menu, a scroll bar appeared as a countermeasure. The distance between menu items decreases when the height of a screen is too small to show the entire menu.
  • Fixed an issue where the number of new news items was incorrect when a user was connected to only one company.
  • After navigating back to the filter options of a chart with the chart ‘modal table’ all other chart types were shown as possible options, this issue has been resolved. Now only the available charts are shown in the filter settings.
  • Fixed an issue where the ‘select all’ button to select everything in a filter didn’t work.
  • We fixed an issue where duplicate records were showing in the latest feedback module.
  • Focus Feedback’s logout feature now redirects to the original page to resolve an issue where browser plugins were not recognizing the input fields of the login page.
  • The counter of the total number of responses within the Responses page was not visible when a user navigated to the Responses page from the home screen, this has been fixed.
  • Fixed some issues in the classification module where data was not properly cleaned or updated when the user navigated to the next answer.
  • Fixed several issues with the filter in the sidebar. Loading screens are now correctly displayed, extra filters are properly removed after switching pages and extra filters keep their data and position.
